Day six. Free State, Bloemfontein. Some runs are about the kilometres. This one was about the people. From the moment we arrived, the love and support we received in Bloemfontein was unmatched. Time, care, food, hydration, encouragement — all given freely and generously, without expectation. It is something we will carry with us long after this challenge ends. For this episode, I chose not to follow the usual format of talking through the run or offering a structured reflection. Instead, I let the day unfold naturally, allowing the moments, interactions, and atmosphere to speak for themselves. The goal was to give you a raw, honest sense of what it felt like to be welcomed and supported so fully. More than halfway through the 9 marathons, 9 provinces, 9 days challenge, Bloemfontein set a standard that will be incredibly hard to surpass. Without question, the best run of the challenge so far.
