INTERVIEW & EXCERPTS #9 | Matt Albano In this video, we sit down with Matt Albano to talk about his collaborative piece with Christian Martin, "ROOT" for marimba. Matt explains how the piece got started, the collaborative process, and tips for up and coming composers. Matt currently lives in Orlando, Florida studying to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree in music as well as a minor in Business at the University of Central Florida. Matthew is highly involved in the marching activity having performed with Infinity Percussion and the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps. While marching Infinity Percussion (2013, 2016-2018) Matthew has been a section leader since 2016. While performing in the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps (2014, 2015), Matthew has received the Silver and Bronze medal for the DCI Championship.
