Subscribe:    / @theswitzerland   Description: The Jungfrau-massif is a gigantic mountain wall of Alpine rock high above the Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald valleys in Switzerland. The Jungfrau-massif is home to the largest glacier in Europe, the Aletsch Glacier. This massive wall consists of three 4,000 metre mountain peaks: Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. The Jungfrau (4,158 m or 13,642 ft) is the westernmost and highest point of the gigantic 10 km (6.2 mi) wall dominating the valleys of Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald. The wall is formed by the alignment of some of the biggest north faces in the Alps, with the Mönch (4,107 m or 13,474 ft) and Eiger (3,967 m or 13,015 ft) to the east of the Jungfrau.
