Finally got around to grafting some fig trees and really glad I did. It was a lot of fun and through the grafting process I discovered a method that worked great and will definitely be in my grafting arsenal, chip bud grafting. I did 3 different grafts, whip and tongue, T budding, and a chip bud graft. Chip budding is really easy to learn and it's hard to mess up! You can also do chip bud grafting on other fruit trees like apple, pear, etc and I'll be doing some of that in the future. These fig trees are proving to be more and more fun to work with as they're so easy to propagate through cuttings or grafting, and they're also a fun winter hobby for gardeners!
