The Mandalay to Bagan river cruise down the Irrawaddy River in Myanmar is a great experience. The river is a central transportation artery through the country, and the only way to fully appreciate this is by taking the boat to see it for yourself. The journey between Mandalay and Bagan takes around 11 hours by boat on the river, and a number of different companies offer services. They are all pretty much the same, with this one serving breakfast and lunch on board.
