Port d’Andratx can be found at the southwestern tip of Majorca in the Balearic Islands. The town itself is quite ancient and throughout almost all of time, was inhabited with locals. The Romans occupied the city in the 2nd century BC, as evidenced by the relics that are found all around the area. Although it is a port, the city was actually built back from the coast as a way to protect the community from the pirates in the area.
