Back in the Supercars this week and we’re back in South Australia, tackling The Bend Motorsport Park. New track to the service and brand new to me, so it took a few laps to wrap my head around it. Long, loaded corners everywhere, all just waiting to chew up the left rear if you’re not careful. For once, I didn’t actually record the race. No idea how that happened. So we’re going old school and pulling this one from the replay. Turned out to be a decent little race anyway. Started off conservative, focused on tyre life rather than heroics, and it paid off. We reeled in P4 just before halfway… then I absolutely butchered the pit stop 🤦‍♂️ Head down for the second stint, used tyres came back to life and we found ourselves in a cracking scrap for P4. Then impatience kicked in, I sent it into T3, and well… you’ll see how that worked out.
