In this video I go over the Brigand class in fire emblem warriors three hopes. 3 Hopes Brigand. Three Hopes Brigand. The Brigand is an advanced form of the Fighter base class, with the same class gauge mechanics but with an extra gauge added, a new heavy attack, and more Y attacks in the base chain. BRIGAND NOTES: -Axe class, counters lance, weak to swords -Press X to activate class action, class gauge fills over time and when hitting foes. -Attack grows in strength if both charges consumed. has 2 charges default. -Very similar to fighter for move list and overall kit ATTACK NOTES: Y - angled downward cut low damage YY - angled upward cut low+ damage YYY - angled upward cut low+ damage YYYY - downward smash with small AoE med damage YYYYY - second downward smash with small aoe, med damage, faster than YYYY YYYYYY - launcher/end of chain, can launch foes and knock them away, med damage. X - downward smash, at 1 gauge creates a rock spike that launches foes high and deals more damage, at 2 gauges creates 3 rock spikes for wider AoE Gauge consumption doesn't seem to increase damage, but increases launching force. Using both gauges seems to slightly increase damage, but also increases range of attack. YX - upward launcher, comes out fast, med damage YYX - meteor smash on ground, bounces foes, med damage YYYX - whirlwind axe attack that hits 3 times, med commitment, good damage/radius of damage, can juggle well situationally YYYYX - Super launcher that creates a rock spike that deals good damage and lifts foes up very high, naturally combos into class action to launch again. CLASS TACTICS: -Combat Arts that multi hit or travel through foes can rapidly fill class gauge -Brigand has good damage output and medium attack speed, so time your attacks and don't overcommit to chains. -Dodging/blocking is good to mitigate damage -Try to attack away from things hitting them with the edge of your hitbox to mitigate enemy counter attacks -Dodge behind foes that have committed to an attack to punish their aggression and attack them from behind -Start a chain away from a dangerous foe then finish with a launch or meteor. -YYYX has a huge commitment and can lead to you getting hit as you will be sitting still waiting for the axe to return to you, don't use this attack under pressure. UNIQUE ABILITIES: Wild Abandon - greatly increases damage dealt to enemies, but also increases damage received from them Death Blow - Keeps the stun gauge visible for longer SPIKE/Invigorating Spirit/Swinging Fury - combat art Warrior's Wisdom - Gives Brigand and Warrior class actions a chance to produce the stun gauge. The more bars in the class gauge the better the chance.
