Woman Accused of Stealing Several Houses Pleads Guilty

Tampa, FL -- Today in Tampa, Michelle Cherry pleaded guilty to multiple counts of fraudulent use of personal information and several counts of organized fraud over $50,000 in 2 cases, where she was accused of filing fake deeds to gain control of homes. Her husband, Victor Rodriguez, is also facing several charges related to property fraud in Hillsborough County and in Dade County. In an effort to mitigate her sentence, she has agreed to testify against her husband in Hillsborough and Dade Counties. The deeds for the disputed properties will be stricken from the public record according to prosecutors. This will revert the home titles back to the true homeowners.   After Cherry testifies, she will be sentenced to anywhere from 10 to 285 years, dependent upon her level of cooperation. The Hillsborough County Clerk of Circuit Court and Comptroller, Victor D.
