Over on my Discord Lord Tim the Great pointed out these fans to me and I was curious. These are basically clones of Lian Li's SL-INF unifans, but at a much cheaper price. Where the Lian Li fans will cost you around £90/$90 for a pack of three, these fans cost just £30/$30. Too good to be true surely? So I bought a bunch of the "TZMRIT Interstellar" fans, both in standard blade and reverse blade versions and put them inside the Hyte Y40 to see how they got on. I'll be honest, I was expecting them to be absolutely terrible. But they really aren't. Sure, the feel cheap, the connectors are stiff and the pins bend easily and they have a lot more wires to deal with but they're also significantly cheaper than the Lian Li Infinity fans so what's the deal? Well, they're quiet as standard, but definitely louder under heavy load. The RGB effects won't be nearly as good and will be motherboard software dependent. They're also flimsy. BUT the lighting is superb. They seem well build in that the fan blades weren't wobbling or making weird noises. They actually have larger RGB mirrors than the Lian Fans and, did I mention they're cheap?
