Aérospatiale SA-315B Lama / HB-XXJ Air Glaciers / XXJ Departure: Saanen Airport (LSGK), Switzerland Arrival: Saanen Airport (LSGK), Switzerland Date: 23th February 2013 / Seat: Cockpit ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Another pleasure flight on Air Glacier, this time the SA-315B Lama. This flight took us around the peak of Gummfluh mountain (2458m), whereas we reached a maximum altitude of roughly 2200m (see GPS screenshot at the end of the video). Thanks to the pilot we had two interim stops as follows: 1) Staldenhorn (LSVN, 6500 ft) 2) Gumm (LSVM, 6760 ft) This airframe was originally built as an SE-3130 Alouette II in 1958, but converted to an SA-315B Lama in 1980. So in total this airframe was 55 years old when we flew on it. Thanks to Air Glaciers for this memorable flight.
