With the theme, From Charity to Justice – A Vision for an Equal and Just Malaysia, the inaugural Hasanah Forum 2021 was held on November 17-18, 2021. The two-day virtual forum drew on the knowledge, experience, and insights of 37 thought leaders, comprising international and local speakers and panelists, to deepen conversations around key issues impacting nation-building such as socio-economic and environmental injustices, leadership, philanthropy, dignity, and rights. The Core Sessions – People & Society, People & Institutions, and People & Leadership – tackles issues on empowerment for citizen-led actions, lasting systemic and institutional changes as well as 21st Century solutions and innovations. Deliberations around the 3 Special Sessions – The Pandemic, Malaysia’s Future, and Our Non-Profit & Social Enterprise Ecosystem – addresses issues presently facing the nation and will set the stage for key collaborative actions. The Hasanah Forum is organized by Yayasan Hasanah, a foundation of Khazanah Nasional Berhad, committed to serve as a catalyst for social change towards a more inclusive and progressive Malaysia.
