New Mexico 2025 Day 7

June 9, 2025 we spent our last day in New Mexico walking around Santa Fe. We went shopping in the Santa Fe Plaza and the area around there. We then visited 109 East Palace, the Santa Fe Office of the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory from the time the atomic bomb was developed. We then walked to The Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi. It was closed on Mondays so we only saw the outside and the grounds. We enjoyed the Stations of the Cross Prayer Garden. We then saw the Loretto Chapel with the Miraculous Staircase. After that we went to the San Miguel Church the oldest church structure in the USA from around 1610. After all of our walking we headed to the Thunderbird Bar & Grill which is part of the Santa Fe Margarita Trail for lunch. The food was excellent and so were the prickly pear margaritas. Our last place we visited that afternoon was the historic oldest house circa 1646. We finished our with dinner at The Bull Ring A Prime Steakhouse. The porterhouse was fantastic. We left to go home early on June 10. It was a fantastic trip.
