Pip hare loses her mast in the southern ocean! Pip is OK sailing under jerry-rig! What happened?

Dear wolves, its very sad but we just received the onboard statement from Pip. Last night she lost her mast. While flying over a wave, her Medalia slammed into the next breaking wave, and the mast split in two. Pip is safe, and her boat is more or less undamaged. She ha spent 3 hours building a Jerry-rig and is now sailing towards the nearest land option at about 4 knots. She is about 600 miles from land, so it will take her some time , but she is ok. Flo will go into more detail on the show tonight, but since there are so many fans of Pip watching the show, we felt you would want to see her statement as soon as possible.
