For those of you who have watched our video about Sayulita, know that we have a love hate relationship with it because although it's a lovely small town and a Pueblo Magico it sometimes gets overrun by tourism. It was recommended we visit San Pancho to get the "Sayulita vibes" from before Sayulita blew up with tourism. Boy were we impressed! San Pancho, also known as San Francisco, is a small town located on the Pacific coast of Mexico, in the state of Nayarit. It is situated about 25 miles north of the popular tourist destination of Puerto Vallarta and about 5 miles from Sayulita. San Pancho is known for its beautiful beaches, laid-back atmosphere, and vibrant cultural scene. The town has a growing expat community and is popular among surfers and artists. The beach has soft white sand and clear water making it an enjoyable place for beach bums like us. We knew we'd love San Pancho but we didn't expect it to love it this much.
