In this special mission, you can try a suggested class instead of your own. It's like a training but into a real map. If you don't have that class, it becomes un-equiped and un-skilled, so your prestige is reduced and the stage becomes harder, but you can try an advanced class and get some bonus reward in exchange. These class missions seems to appear randomly. Gunner is really a unique class and hard to play for the first time. I had no idea about this class while playing this mission, so I was just trying and did lot of mistakes, but anyways, it was fun and looks cool :P I hope to get it again and do a better run. As you can see in the video, Gunner has 2 resource bars and a permanent energy shield. The way your resource works is different to the other classes. You have 3 stances with your weapon, and you can cycle by pressing 1 (or Q when ready): Gatling, Cannon and Mortar. Mortar uses its own resource, the orange bar on the right, and recharges over time. Gatling gun overheats and becomes slower, this heat is your resource for the plasma cannon (left purple bar), so when you're overheat you have to swap into cannon, and when heat is out, change to gatling again. This is the harder to get class in this beta, it's the most far away from start in the Ascension Atlas and it cost double the points to unlock. You can also get this as Founder, when the game starts, so you don't need to wait.
