The snail is surely a favorite among aquarium keepers, as it is both odd looking and a great algae eater. Though these snails are primarily nocturnal, this particular snail is quite active during daytime hours, so I figured I would video it while it was out and about. Also seen in the video is a tiny Asterina starfish, which hardly moves at all. A Vermetid snail is also seen on the front of the coral frag. Vermetid worms are rather destructive to corals. They cast out a feeding net that will sting and kill any coral tissue in its path. I typically like to kill these worms as soon as possible, before they are able to do any damage.
