Franciscan Missionaries of Mary. I didn't ask the Sisters about contemplation. I asked them about mission. They taught me what it means to be a missionary. I discovered today a mission is not a place or work. It is a person. They had mentioned the word 'encounter'. The Sisters taught me this means to meet the person exactly as who he or she is. I asked them at what point they just knew they are to be Sisters. They said - when they made the decision. At what age, 20s, they replied, in a chorus. They had known from a very young age. Somethings, in fact, everything significant can never really be explained. On Sundays, migrant workers come to the Convent. It is there place to be, and the Sisters care for them. We spoke about how learning farming skills can contribute back to the rural villages. The Sisters said they would love to visit our farm to learn.
