This options trading strategy includes BUYING and LEAPS option deep in the money as far out in expiration as you can and then SELLING calls using the LEAPS as the collateral to do so. This allows you to sell covered calls with way less upfront capital. The downside is if it goes against you the price of that LEAPS options can tumble quickly. I literally bought my LEAPS option on the SPY at the top. Since I bought it on Feb 14th the market has done nothing but pull back with no end in sight.
