Various of police detaining more fans STORYLINE Several English football fans were detained by German police in Cologne on Monday night, hours ahead of England's final Group B game against Sweden in the city. Thousands of fans arrived in the city on Monday, spending the evening revelling in the old city and along the banks of the river Rhine. Police said four England fans were arrested for drunk and disorderly behaviour, with more arrests expected. Sixteen police officers were slightly injured, but only one required hospital treatment, police said. Several fans could be seen being detained by German police, sporting full riot gear. Sweden could face elimination from the World Cup unless they secure at least a draw against England on Tuesday. A draw for England, already through the last sixteen, would make them winners of their group. Tens of thousands of England and Sweden supporters are expected in the western German city to follow Tuesday's match which begins at 2100 local time (1900 GMT). The Swedes have not lost to England since 1968.
