Making Aerated Worm Compost Tea | Worm Tea Recipe | Guten Yardening In this video we show you how simple it is to make worm compost tea. We have had a vermiculture system for the past year and a half, and have been fortunate enough to collect a good amount of worm castings already from this system. One of the benefits of these worm castings is their ability to be used to create worm compost tea. This tea contains a large amount of microorganisms that many claim help to break down organic material in the soil and help plant intake of nutrients. We found this recipe for aerated compost tea online, and while there are many variations, especially when it comes to the amount of unsulfured molasses needed to feed the microorganisms, this was one we settled on. The end result is a 5 gallon bucket compost tea that is ready to go on the plant roots immediately. We include the process, including aerating worm tea in this video.
