Fiji Airways FJ411 : Flying from Nadi to Auckland

10th October 2018 It was time to go back home after a very pleasant experience in Fiji (apart from a bedbug incident). I'm flying Fiji Airways to Auckland on their 5 years old Airbus A330-200, DQ-FJV. We got dropped off at Nadi International Airport and promptly checked in for our flight. Once we passed through immigration and security, I just observed the airside. Our flight was delayed by a couple of minutes but eventually we boarded our flight at Gate 3. I settled in Seat 23K and was a little bit surprised to see a bird on the wing. The bird flew off and the plane pushed back from the gate before taking off towards Auckland. Some breakfast was served and I watched a few shows on the IFE system. The flight eventually descended into Auckland, landed, and parked at Gate 3. Bags could be collected at Carousel 2. It was good to be back home and I will definitely consider going back when possible.
