In this video I carry out a bench test of the Motenergy ME1507 motor with the Kelly KLS96601-8080IPS controller. I cover all steps needed to get the motor turning including the 12-volt system, high-voltage wiring, contractor setup, pre-charge resistor, connecting the motor to the controller, wiring of the controller electronics, and basic programming the controller to identify the hall angle and set the motor direction.
