The European Knowledge Strategy will connect ERA and EEA and mutually reinforce them to allow for coordinated education and research policies and investments. It will, in this way, make a major contribution to implementing the Recovery Package. EEA and ERA jointly aim at boosting the interaction between education, research and innovation to empower Europe's citizens, while contributing to a democratic, ethically responsible, well-informed, resilient and cohesive European society and competitive social market economy.
