Today we're walking Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas, but we're not checking out the Fremont Street Experience with all the casinos and buskers. Today, we're starting at the Fremont East District, but we're walking beyond the tourist area into a little sketchier side of the city. After passing familiar sights like the El Cortez casino and the Container Park, we cross into an area where the streets are darker and buildings and businesses are shuttered or abandoned. "The Venue" has notices about trespassing spray painted on it, and human waste drying out on the ground. The businesses that are open like Atomic Liquors, Fergusons Downtown, and Bent bar likely exist despite their location, not because of it. This isn't your average Vegas video. It's a raw, unfiltered look at the area beyond the one tourists see on Fremont Street.
