In this video I talk about the two species of plantain that grow in Washington: broadleaf and narrow leaf plantain. They are both used interchangeably for medicine, and are both very weedy and abundant in Washington. More details on where to find: Broadleaf plantain loves to be stepped on, and thus prefers gravel driveways and the sides of pathways, though it will also grow in bark chips and in weedy corners of parks. Narrowleaf plantain, which does not enjoy being stepped on quite as much, prefers weedy disturbed areas with rich soil. These are not forest plants, so look in gardens, fields, parks, and trails. They tend to grow around humans. It will also grow in the drier areas east of the cascades, but needs a water source like a creek, pond or sprinkler. If you want to keep learning with me, I have many recorded classed for sale here: https://adiantumschool.podia.com/ Also, I wrote a bestselling book!
