In the name of God, the most Gracious, the most Merciful, “No mother should be harmed through her child, and no father harmed through his child.” Quran 2:233 — I am an extremely private person and the original intent for this poem was to be kept for my daughter Liyana for when she grows up and finds me. However after going through this experience, I realised that unfortunately my situation is very common in today’s world. And it is unsettling how many good fathers and innocent children go through the unforgivable and damaging act of parental alienation due to the mothers aggression. I aim to raise awareness for those affected by this. For the good father’s, denied access (or given very limited access) to their children. And for those children who grow up without a father (considered an orphan in Islam), because of the long term aggression of the mother. Eventually chasing the father away and then blaming him for leaving. Unfortunately the children are the ones that suffer the most here. Some may say that it is not good for the children to be told about this when it happens to them. That is exactly what allows this behaviour to continue. If mothers knew that harming their children in this way would be exposed to their children eventually, they may avoid it as they know their children will not be happy when they find out they grew up an orphan because of them. This affects the child directly and it is their right to know. I would never support fostering hate for a parent in any child. My goal is to spread awareness of this misdeed to families. I don’t expect the government to change any legislation as it has been made clear to me (through my experience and many other’s) that our rulers actively support and encourage this behaviour through the courts and legal system for profit (also, a broken family is a distracted family and one easily controlled and manipulated). The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Verily, Iblees places his throne over the water and he sends out his troops. The closest to him in rank are the greatest at causing problems. One of them says: I have done this and this. Iblees says: You have done nothing. Another one says: I did not leave this man alone until I separated him from his wife. Iblees embraces him and he says: You have done well.” - Muslim My hope is for families to be aware of this so that if their daughter, sister, cousin or friend is alienating a parent from their children, they should step in and stop it for the sake of the children. And to never support such behaviour. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Whosoever of you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand; and if he is not able to do so, then [let him change it] with his tongue; and if he is not able to do so, then with his heart — and that is the weakest of faith.” - Muslim Parental alienation is only acceptable when a parent is abusive towards the child. And if it is done for the children’s protection. It is sad how many situations I’ve seen where this is not the case. If any slander comes my way because of this, my side is narrated in this poem and description. Divorce is sad, but it is halal. When divorce happens, no matter what the disagreement is, children should never be used as weapons to harm parents. I have witnessed this hadith in real time: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "I was shown the Hell-fire and that the majority of its dwellers were women who were ungrateful." It was asked, "Do they disbelieve in Allah?" (or are they ungrateful to Allah?) He replied, "They are ungrateful to their husbands and are ungrateful for the favors and the good done to them.
