Essaouira, Morocco is open for tourists, beaches and all! We travel from Aourir to Ghazoua via a bus to spend a few days at Riad Baoussala. We eat lunch at Restaurant O'Pecheur where we found cheap seafood with a diverse and interesting menu. Shrimp Pil pil, calamari omelette, and paella all along side some crusty bread. I do a handstand at Riad Baoussala and then we go on to Essaouira to spend a few nights. The first day we had a raw seafood tasting at the port of Essaouira, afterwards I though I juice with ginger and lemon would pair nicely for digestion. Later on we enjoyed schwarma and were tempted by crepes at the cafes of Place Moulay Hassan. We were surprised to find ourselves recognized in Essaouira by subscribers, we even called one on the phone. Essaouira surprised us with it's lively gathering of drums in Moulay Hassan square. We saw people gathering with Moroccan flags and unified costumes and we wondered what was going on. Then the camel cavalry came into the square to stand guard. The camels may have been surprised by the drums, because they were all going to the bathroom in the same spot. There was a lovely baby camel with his mother. This party in the square was contrasted by the empty streets, with shops and cafes choosing to open to sparse tourists or to just stay closed. Art shops, barbers, boutiques, cafes of Essaouira are patiently waiting for tourists to return, to continue to follow their dreams and make a living. Consider traveling to Essaouira as soon as you can to enjoy a classic city and be welcomed by all. We enjoyed juice and coffee at Venus Cafe. Here, there was a Rock N Roll vibration that we were able to stay warm in as it rained outside. The following day we ate at an Italian Taverna Bolognese Da Maurizio that featured homemade noodles and an Italian chef! We journeyed home back to Tamraght where we found Jebli, the dirty street kitten, waiting for us with excitement. Puma, the alleged father of Jebli, was there too for a greeting, but he was more interested in a feeding. Unlike Agadir, Essaouira has returned to it's normal state, with it's beaches open, bars, cafes, and restaurants open until 11:00 PM. The only thing missing from Essaouira is you, book your flights and get over here for Christmas in Morocco, or perhaps a New Years Moroccan celebration. The tourist sector of Morocco is looking for a quick recovery. Enjoy yourself in Essaouira very soon! ▶▶▶Support the Moracro Channel: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/moracro Moracro Instagram: / moracro Moracro Facebook: / moracro Andreja Instagram: / adventurousjourneys Andreja Facebook: / adventurousjourneysblog Blog: http://www.adventurous-journeys.com
