Leonard sings "Ndakanga Ndabaiwa" which he translates as 'I was robbed/brutalised' - reflecting on the loss and painful experience so many people have had during these last two years of the pandemic, and now there is war. Bhukatiende/Mukatiende is regarded as a call to the ancestors that we might be free and go - its name is often translated at 'wake up, lets go'. The #globalceremony is a unity prayer among mbira players around the world. Our first in 2020 was in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
