Are Affixes the Future of PGR or are they a Problem?

So I came across a Reddit post and it really made me think about the new Affix mechanic. Now that Lilith is out, we have a Plasma team that is more consistent and easy to use. This will give us a glimpse into the future of what might be the future of PGR's combat. However, are affixes enough or are there concerns surrounding the meta and health of the game? I don't normally do this but this video partially reacting to the Reddit post and start a discussion about the affix system.
