IV Waste Garbage Trucks Vs. Heavy Bourbon Street Garbage

Here is one of my favorites from my recent New Orleans trip. I had seen a bunch of news segments about IV and the French Quarter and I had to go check it out for myself. Upon arriving to NOLA, as soon as I walked into the French Quarter I was immediately met with tons of “Keep IV Waste” signs all throughout. For those unaware of the controversy, New Orleans num nut of a major, contacted IV to clean the FQ just about a year ago I believe but in July New Orleans num nut mayor decided that they were too expensive and tried to remove their contract. However, this was met with extreme backlash from most French Quarter residents and business owners as many believe, including myself, that they are keeping the French Quarter as clean as they have ever seen it. This issue was noticed by the Louisiana Supreme Court and they fortunately gave power to the French Quarter to choose their own cleaner and exempt from what the mayor chooses. As of right now IV is still cleaning the FQ but that could still change. As for the trucks, these are all 3 trucks that are in the French Quarter. First up is a beautiful CCC Heil that runs commercial, and let me tell you, the crew on the back are some absolute dawgs. Hand lifting 90’s is one thing, but doing that with juicy commercial is a whole different level. They put on a wonderful show and I wish I could have grabbed more but this was their last stop. Next up is a OG IV Mack doing litter bag piles and residential trash. Finally is a IV’s dedicated French Quarter truck that picks up litter bags and any other bags or boxes multiple times a day from 7 AM to about 8 PM.
