Salburua está formado por varios humedales que aunque históricamente siempre estuvieron en el mismos lugar, en los años 80 dejaron de ser visibles a simple vista, el culpable no fue otro que el afán del ser humano por convertir todas las tierras en tierras urbanizables. En la década de los 90, gracias a la conciencia ecológica de la ciudad de Vitoria-Gasteiz los humedales fueron recuperados y la fauna y flora del entorno volvió a tomar fuerza, hasta el día de hoy, en el que podemos disfrutar de una gran variedad de especies. El parque de Salburua es parte de la red de espacios naturales protegidos de la Unión Europea (Red Natura 2000), simplemente con este hecho, es fácil imaginar el valor y riqueza paisajística y natural que nos puede ofrecer este parque. Para todos los habitantes de Vitoria-Gasteiz el parque de Salburua es sinónimo de ocio, recreo, libertad y disfrute. Los más pequeños de la familia disfrutaran a lo grande al ver pasar sobre sus cabezas cigüeñas o al ver a pocos metros a ciervos, o simplemente al cruzar alguno de los múltiples puentes de madera que están ubicados a lo largo del recorrido que nos ofrece este parque. Los humedales del parque de Salburua son una importante zona de descanso para todas aquellas aves migratorias que buscan descanso durante sus largos viajes. Cada una de las estaciones del año dan al parque de Salburua un aire distinto, un aire nuevo, es por ello que dependiendo de la época del año en la que visitemos el parque será totalmente distinto a otra época del año. Las diferentes balsas que podemos encontrar en el parque de Salburua nos ayudaran a tener un contacto cercano con todas las especies que viven en los humedales. Además de las balsas mencionadas el parque dispone de varios observatorios desde los que podremos disfrutar en más detalle de todos los animales del parque. For all the inhabitants of Vitoria-Gasteiz, Salburua Park is synonymous with leisure, recreation, freedom and enjoyment. The youngest of the family will enjoy in a big way when they see storks on their heads or when they see deer a few meters away, or simply when crossing one of the multiple wooden bridges that are located along the route that this park offers us . The wetlands of Salburua Park are an important resting area for all those migratory birds that seek rest during their long trips. Each of the seasons of the year give the Salburua Park a different air, a new air, which is why depending on the time of the year in which we visit the park will be totally different from another time of the year. The different rafts that we can find in the park of Salburua will help us to have close contact with all the species that live in the wetlands.
