Day 114 update. Today had a few important things happen. First, I finally heard back from a cleaner who hadn’t responded for over a week. He said he had internal bleeding and had been on bed rest. Obviously that’s serious, but the issue wasn’t the situation — it was the lack of communication. When you run a service business, communication matters. Since this wasn’t the first time and he was still in training, it just wasn’t going to be a good fit. On the sales side: 1 call 1 sale I also spoke with another home service growth group. They gave some marketing suggestions: Yard signs (around 100 per month) Door hangers at scale (1,000+ per week to see real results) More owner-facing marketing The biggest thing they recommended was doing local selfie-style videos for Facebook ads. Something simple like: “Hey Colorado Springs, Marcus here with Platinum Shine Cleaning…” Calling directly to homeowners in the area. It’s more personal and builds trust with the local audience. Not my favorite thing to do, but it’s probably something I need to start implementing. The other big change: Next week is my final week with my coach. Financially I can’t continue paying for coaching right now, so I’ll be going back to building this solo. But the mission doesn’t change. Keep doing the work. Keep building the pipeline. Keep growing the business. Consistency is still the plan. On to Day 115.
