#Ramadan #Taraweeh #Laylatul Qadr #Qiyam al-Layl #Tahajjud #YouTube #Islam Laylatul Qadr (The Night of Decree) is sought during the odd-numbered nights of the last ten days of Ramadan—especially the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th, and 29th nights, with particular emphasis on the final seven nights. Authentic Hadith encourage believers to increase their prayers, supplications, and seeking of forgiveness during these nights. This blessed night is described in the Qur’an as better than one thousand months, making acts of worship performed on it immensely rewarding. Qiyam al-Layl, meaning “standing during the night,” refers to voluntary worship performed between the ‘Isha and Fajr prayers. This worship may include Salah (prayer), recitation of the Qur’an, and dhikr (remembrance of Allah). It is a highly recommended Sunnah and can be performed either before or after sleeping, with the most virtuous time being the last third of the night. Tahajjud is a highly virtuous voluntary night prayer (nafl) performed after ‘Isha and before Fajr, preferably during the last third of the night after waking from sleep. It is prayed in sets of at least two rak‘ahs, with no fixed maximum. Tahajjud is a special act of worship that strengthens one’s closeness to Allah and is a blessed time for seeking forgiveness, making du‘a, and spiritual reflection.
