All Tube Phono Stage, Moving Magnet Pre-amp Part 1

This is a video series about building a EAR834 clone, all vacuum tube phono stage pre-amplifier used for listening to vinyl. All the parts have come in and we are ready to build this! There are no op amps or mosfets, it's all tube! You can find the schematic for this kit at my website. I will upload a BOM for the parts I purchased, along with an estimated total cost at the end of the series. This time I am doing the video in a very step by step manner for folks who have never done this kind of work before. This is a pretty simple metal working project and might be a good one for a beginner tube amp project. Plus it just really sounds amazing! Based off a kit on Ebay, in this video I go over the layout I plan to use on this build, the component choices and the reasons behind them.
