Learn how to successfully replace a water meter on old pipes. I'm talking about dismantling, assembling, installing and installing a water meter unit. I also show how to use a compression coupling for a steel pipe and how to do everything correctly with the help of tips from the Master-OK channel. The water meter in the apartment was replaced independently. Since the old meter literally broke off along with the metal pipe, we had to repack and clean all the fittings, including the coarse filter and install a compression coupling. The check valve no longer worked, so a new one was installed. In order not to use welding, we installed a 10 bar compression coupling for the steel pipe. Replacing the meter with a compression sleeve helped avoid problems with old iron pipes that occur when threading. The water metering unit was installed using fum tape and plumbing flax.
