P&O Britannia Caribbean Cruise ..First ever visit to Jolly Beach Antigua

After a very leisurely sea day and another formal evening we arrived in the port of St Johns on the beautiful island of Antigua .Today was going to be our first proper visit to a beach .We had a pre booked P&O excursion to Jolly Beach . Before that we had awoken to a very cloudy sky and a very wet balcony so it wasn't looking promising for our beach visit .We had decided to order breakfast and have it in our room .It arrived a bit earlier than expected and as the Butler was knocking at the door we were still fast asleep . As per usual the clouds disappeared and the sun came out , we left the ship and headed to our meeting point . Everything went to plan and we were soon on the mini bus heading towards Jolly Beach . When we arrived we couldn't help but have a big grin on our faces , it was absolutely stunning . Miles of Golden sand and the colour of the sea was amassing .We found the spot that suited us and settled down for the day , included in the price of the excursion was two sun beds and an Umbrella . What a fantastic time we had on this six hour excursion, we visited the nearby restaurant for a spot of lunch and a couple of drinks . Looking back we would say it was one of our favourite days on this cruise . After returning to the ship we relaxed on the balcony before enjoying a lovely meal in Sindhu .
