It may seem like a strange thing to get angry about but these Fantastic vents and Maxx Air vents cost serious money and should not fail so easily. As a RV tech, the failure rates I am seeing on these high CFM roof vents and the caps is getting ridiculous and while some RVs only have one of these some can have 3 or 4 meaning in vents alone is the price of a used car of $1500 to $2000, and these are just plastic box fans, nothing complicated. So when I was replacing the Fantastic vents on this 2009 Cardinal that were cracked and leaking, I decided to search the internet for something reasonable and just as good. I was surprised how easily I found these Hurrventers powered RV roof vents, but even more surprised by the quality and functionality of the "cheap, overseas" vents and how obvious the expensive vents are just using the same components with no added value. A $130 vent cracking or breaking seems understandable, but a $400 vent should last 30 years trouble-free. So here is a video I put together of my frustrations and I also like these vents so far and will see how they hold up. Thanks for watching!
