The Ballymacoda Fun Ride was held on Sunday the 6th Oct 2019. The day was dry and bright with some cloud and sunny spells. The ponies and horses were unboxed in Ballymacoda Village. Ballymacoda Village is between Youghal and Ballycotton in East Cork. The Fun ride route was scenic with panoramic costal views and great photo opportunities, across grassland and tillage farms out to sea and Capel Island, the hilly terrain crossed, included hedgerows, small roads and streams The route started in Ballymacoda Village and headed to Ballycrenane, Knockadoon, Ring Strand and back to Ballymacoda. The ride incorporated optional manmade and natural jumps, suitable for all ages, abilities and confidence levels. The fun ride was organised by the Ballymacoda Hunt Club, there was a large turnout of riders and spectators who got to explore the countryside. Capel Island, The tower on the island is an incomplete 19th century lighthouse. Proceeds were donated to The Ella Dempsey Treatment Fund. Ella is an 8 year old girl from Ballymacoda
