In this unclean world, any sin is made new by the purest, unbroken expanse of snow. Fields of white, smooth oceans of ice, all testament to the cruel and yet equal inevitability of all life on this earth: to be covered by the cold. To be forgotten to the wind. To be lost in the blizzard. The Church of Everwinter does not portend to know who the creator of our world is, but to know Its will. The coming storms are evidence enough of this, and we have been trying to warn the foolish masses: all will be erased by the will of the force referred to as Winter, and only those who find comfort instead of fear in Its will will make it through. My name is Herald Leo, the head of the Church of Everwinter. Alongside my emissaries, I will spread the will of our creator and bring peace and comfort to the shivering masses. Of course, our creator will need tithes and offerings, but once the populous realizes how much they need to place their faith in It, we will erect monuments that will empower It, and by extension, our humble congregation. As Herald of Everwinter, I must make sure that Winter’s devotees are kept safe from the uncleanliness and corruption of man, and so I will put forth any effort to ensure that nation leaders work toward making their land safe for my people, whatever their chosen way of showing devotion to our Creator. With my Emissaries by my side, and the sight of Winter bestowed upon my eyes, I will serve my Devotees humbly. For we know the truth: That the warmth of the living is merely a privilege offered to us in our time before we return to the endless snow.
