Hello everyone, Happy New Year! I hope you have had a good few days of 2022 so far; thank you for clicking on this video, great to have you back or welcome if you're new! As I start my new position in January, I thought I would reflect on whether a PGCE is helpful in preparation for ECT year and if 1 year is enough training. For context, I did a school direct SCITT with a PGCE at an affiliated university. I've given both pros and cons to how well it's prepared me, and have given examples to explain my reasoning.
