In today's video, we visit a rural shrine nestled in rural Japan. A pretty normal shrine...if not for the local train line running straight through it. Watch as I catch a few trains running through it, take a look at the local surroundings, and chat a bit about the local station nearest to it. If you wish to visit this area for yourself, it's located on the Heisei Chikuo Railway, which runs between Nogata and Yukuhashi, in Fukuoka, Kyushu. If you're on holiday, the fastest way would be to get off at Kokura station, head down to Yukuhashi, and take the train from there. The closest train station is Sakiyama station. From there, it's about a 7-minute walk south: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/S... If you do decide to visit, please of course be respectful and careful, as it is an operational train line and a place of worship. 00:00 Intro 00:31 Arriving at Sakiyama Station! 01:25 Walk to Shrine 02:51 Waiting for the Train! 04:01 Visiting the Shrine 06:17 Watching more trains 06:50 Back at Sakiyama station #japan #japantravel #railway #japaneseculture #train
