Digital accompaniment of Brünnhilde's Immolation Scene, from R. Wagner's "Götterdammerung". Vocal Guide: • Brünnhilde's Immolation Scene (Vocal Guide... Context of aria within the plot: This scene concludes Wagner's Ring Cycle. Through this scene, Brünnhilde orders that a huge funeral pyre be assembled by the Rhine for Siegfried. She praises Siegfried, and afterwards condemns the Gods. She takes the cursed ring from Siegfried, promising to give it back to the Rhinemaidens after she perishes in the flames, cleansing the ring from the curse. After lighting the pyre, she calls her steed Grane, and jumps into the pyre. The final musical section depicts the flames engulfing the stage, the Rhine overflowing its bank putting out the fire, the Rhinemaidens recovering the ring, and the flames rising to the sky, burning Walhalla and the gods, while the World is redeemed through love, starting the cycle anew. Erratum: In bar 115, the A should be natural, not flat. Cues will be added, if necessary, during long periods without singing. You would like to see a particular digital accompaniment?
