Sanitaire SC899F Put To The Test...

Video of Sanitaire SC899F being used to pre-vacuum carpets prior to bonnet cleaning (not shown here). The carpet had been previously vacuumed by the resident before vacating with a Hoover Air Max (?), and they claimed to have been very meticulous in doing the job. We left the height setting a little higher than our last video, in hopes of getting greater airflow, and longer belt life, at the possible sacrifice of some agitation, as airflow and agitation when adjusted properly offers maximum pick-up. There is no benefit to "burying" the brush-roll in the carpet with this type of vacuum so we are experimenting with the settings. We followed up with a Dyson DC25, because it is a vacuum we are used to and we wanted to see if the big Sanitaire was leaving any significant debris behind, bearing in mind that a bonnet cleaning would remove small amounts of particulate anyway, but we just wanted to see. So watch and see how well the Sanitaire did, and also at the end see how the carpets looked when all the cleaning was done and we final groom the carpets with a Grandi Groom carpet rake...
