Rhino horn trade has been illegal for decades. but the animals remain endangered. While countries that house most of the world's rhinos are in favor of trade, they're continually outvoted by the West. In this enlightening talk, Dr. Rubino argues that the way to save the species is by legalizing rhino horn trade. Elena Rubino is an assistant professor of conservation social science at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. Most broadly, she is interested in how conservation of wildlife and habitat may be attained on private and communal lands worldwide. Her research explores how policy, decision-making, and communication can be used to improve conservation outcomes, and her work is frequently used by government agencies and conservation organizations in the design of conservation policy, management actions, and outreach. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
