I was contemplating what I wanted to say in this moment and if I should speak up, if it was my place to....well I can’t keep quiet. When something is wrong, it’s wrong. I realize I don’t know everything &I most definitely don’t know your story or your Journey & I will never pretend to. I do know what it feels like to be misunderstood, used, alone, judged, and deeply hurt physically, emotionally and mentally. It’s through those things I offer this perspective & my prayer is that one day we live in a world where we see the heart of a person and realize that Heart is the same heart as our own...with each heart we encounter we have the ability to care for it, show it love & acceptance to bring it joy and happiness or we can cause it hurt and pain and devastation. May we all choose to care for each person‘s heart regardless of race, religious beliefs, how much money ones has or don’t have, gender preference ..Whoever you are, you will always have a seat at my table as long as you don’t willingly mistreat another person‘s heart. I will stand beside you, I’ll give you my shoulder to cry &cry with you, I will share in your joys & pains& accept you for who you are because you are a gift to this world. I will never disrespect your heart because when I look at you I see a Heart & a soul that is so precious and wonderful. What a privilege it would be to know you & what a great honor to know another person, to learn from other cultures and walks of life.. the riches of life are not found in money but in the hearts of people all over this world & each culture, each religion, each individual has something wonderful to share that nobody else has. If we keep her eyes open, our hearts filled with love & our mind void of judgement then we can see the beauty that is there to behold and value it & treasure it. It is through that perspective we stop the spread of hate & we instead spread love, acceptance and a world where people are free to be fully who they are. You see I’m looking in the mirror today & asking myself if there is any area of myself that needs to change... may we each point finger toward self first and then go and stand beside our fellow man and prove to those who who hate that there are those of us who willing to stand up and say no more. Kindness Matters .. kindness is the only way... kindness is what every word, thought & action must be filtered through.
