NOTE FROM TED: Research discussed in this talk related to platelet-rich plasma and regenerative medicine remains an ongoing field of study. TEDx events are independently organized by volunteers. The guidelines we give TEDx organizers are described in more detail here: http://storage.ted.com/tedx/manuals/t... In this TEDx talk, Dean Kotopski reflects on how his background in automotive mechanics informs his approach to understanding movement and alignment in physical rehabilitation. He highlights the challenges of fragmented care and shares how a more systematic perspective can offer a way of understanding the body. His talk invites viewers to explore the possibilities within physical rehab as the field continues to evolve, while maintaining a cautious, research-aligned perspective. Dean Kotopski is a 36-year veteran of physical rehabilitation with certifications in physiotherapy, massage therapy, acupuncture, and IMS. Beginning his career as an auto mechanic at 18, he later transitioned into rehab medicine with a lifelong passion for mechanics, movement, and problem-solving. His interdisciplinary background and decades of hands-on clinical experience inform his unique perspective on building comprehensive therapeutic toolkits. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
