Learn to hide & unhide files in windows using the CMD process, this tutorial explains two methods to hide and to show back the hidden files. In this tutorial, First method uses windows explorer option and second method uses windows command prompt. Choice of method that you want to follow is dependent upon your need; if you have some personal files and you don’t want others to know of it then I would recommend you to use the command prompt method to hide files and unhide them whenever you need them back. Both the methods explained are easy to follow and work well with windows 7, XP, Vistas and windows 8. I normally hide folders on my windows to prevent unauthorized access to important documents. More over my kid often uses my laptop to play games, so I often hide important folders to avoid deletion of these files. By default all the Microsoft windows version don’t show the hidden files. But if you manually unhide a file then you view the hidden files or folders by using the windows explorer.
