Here is a follow up video of a Dialtune snare drum I recently purchased. I bought the drum used and it is the Black Nickel over brass model. The size is 14"x 6.5" which is the only size they make right now. This drum is unique in that it tunes up with two dials (one for the top head and one for the bottom) and no tension rods are present. This makes head changes fast and tuning even faster. I give you my final impressions of the drum after I have used it for a while. I also play the drum with a calf head I tucked for this drum as well as an Attack Jingle Head. Both are tricky to get on this drum which was my main reservation about it in the first video. Remember that you must loosen the dials quite a bit to get the heads on and off. if you get tired of all my gabbing you can get right to the playing with these time stamps: 0:00 Calf Head intro and playing 9:21 Attack Jingle Head 13:15 Remo Fiberskin Diplomat The drums used in this video are Craviotto stacked Private Reserve. The sizes are: Bass Drum 20x15 Toms 10x8 and 12x8 Floor Tom 14x14 The Cymbals are: 22" Paiste Traditional Light Ride 18" 1950's K crash/ride with rivets 16" Paiste Traditional Thin Crash Masterwork 24" Swish/China with Rivets Sabian 13" HH Regular Hi Hats Mics are two Sennheiser MKH 800 overheads and an AKG D112 on the bass drum.
