Attaching a Prefilter

I saw this Prefilter online and thought it was a good idea. It gives me the option of moving all the Mechanical filtration outside of my main canister filter allowing me to add more Biological filtration there. Honestly, I was a bit concerned as the build quality did not seem very robust, but since it has no moving parts, I am hoping its stays intact. If it leaks, I will be kicked out of my house, so I've taken a big gamble on SunSun's build quality. Adding this, did not seem to have any adverse effect on the flow rate of my filter which was my other concern. Let me know if you have any comment, questions, queries regarding this experiment.
